Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey

Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey is a Public Health physician, Quality Improvement Advisor and a Fellow of the International Society for Quality in Healthcare, with years of clinical and management experiences in frontline district medical practice. He serves as the Board Chairman of Nyaho Medical Centre. He is currently the Executive Director at the Institute for Healthcare Improvement’s (IHI), Africa Region. Prior to assuming this role, he was the Senior Technical Director, Africa. In this role, he led Ghana’s Project Fives Alive! to deliver a large-scale quality improvement project in over 80% of public sector hospitals and 30% of Ghanaian sub districts, contributing to a 34% reduction in facility based child deaths.

Dr. Sodzi Sodzi-Tettey is also an advocate for social justice including advocacy for bridging equity gaps in mental healthcare and as a member of the Africa Media and Malaria Research Network. He writes a weekly socio-political column for Ghana’s Daily Graphic, published online, and has also published in peer reviewed journals.
