Prof. Samuel Sefa-Dedeh

Professor Sefa-Dedeh is a Ghanaian food technologist and educator. He is Professor at the University of Ghana, School of Engineering Sciences in the Department of Food Process Engineering. At the University of Ghana, he has served the University of Ghana as Foundation Dean of the Faculty of Engineering Sciences; Dean of International Programmes and Head of the Department of Nutrition and Food Science. He has also served as member of the Public Service Commission of Ghana and Board Chairman of the Ghana Food Distribution Corporation.

Professor Sefa-Dedeh is currently the Vice President (Science) of the Ghana Academy of Arts and Sciences, and a member of the International Council of Scientific Unions (committee science for food security), the Institute Food Technologists, and American Association Cereal Chemists. He is currently the Vice President (Sciences) for the Ghana Academy for Arts and Sciences and remains the President of the Ghana Institute Nutrition and Food Technology since 1990. He is a Fellow of the International Academy of Food Science and Technology.  He has authored and co-authored numerous publications in food systems.
